The traditional name for the festival is Inti Raymi. It is a religious ceremony which celebrates the Winter Solstice, the shortest day of the year.
3. Fermin Festiva – Spain
Locally this festival is known as Sanfermines. It is a week long celebration in honor of Saint Fermin.

The Chinese New Year is a very poplular celebration of the new lunar year.
5. Floating Lanterns Festival – Thailand
The traditional name for this festival is Loi Krathong. Releasing the lanterns is considered good luck and there is the belief that misfortune will float away with the lantern.
