After volunteering in dozens of countries around the world as a student and then later working for a nonprofit, our founder Ryan Skoog, realized that there were discounts for students everywhere, but nothing for volunteers. Figuring that volunteers deserved discounts as well, Ryan set out to get some of the best brands out their to reward volunteers for all of their service regardless of their student status or not. Then Travel Guard stepped up to add discounted multi-trip travel insurance for traveling volunteers. Now companies finally recognize and reward volunteers through the International Volunteer Card.
